KONYAALTI, ANTALYA · OPEN DAILY 08:00–24:00 · 4.4 ★ (180 GOOGLE REVIEWS)
Sauna, heated marble, the kese scrub, the foam massage and a long rest afterwards. A spa designed specifically for couples and families.
THE TRADITIONAL HAMAM · 90–120 MIN
What a traditional Turkish hamam involves, stage by stage, from the first heat to the final rest.
STAGE 0115 MIN · 80°C
The programme begins with dry heat. Fifteen minutes on a wooden bench, breathing warm air, so that your pores open before anything else begins.
STAGE 0220 MIN · 45°C
You move to the heated marble slab beneath the dome and lie down on it. The warmth spreads across your back and your body starts to sweat properly.
STAGE 0310 MIN · 40°C
An attendant scrubs you from head to toe with the traditional coarse mitt. It is a deep exfoliation, and your skin stays smooth for days afterwards.
STAGE 0415 MIN · 40°C
Olive-oil soap is worked into a cloud of foam through a cotton pillow and poured over you. You are washed and massaged under a soft layer of foam.
STAGE 0515 MIN · 38°C
A cool clay mask is applied to your face and shoulders. It works for ten to fifteen minutes while your body temperature comes back down.
STAGE 0620 MIN · 22°C
You wrap yourself in a towel and settle into the relaxation lounge with water, tea or juice from the vitamin bar. Cooling down gradually is an essential part of the programme.

Every photograph here was taken in our own spa. The hamam, the sauna, the treatment rooms and the lounges look just as you will find them when you arrive. The steam room and the jacuzzi are also available to our guests.
MASSAGES
Every massage is given by a trained therapist in a private room. The same room can be prepared for two people.

A full-body massage in the Swedish technique. The right place to start if it is your first.
Focused work on the specific area that is giving you trouble.
For people who spend the day at a desk and feel it in their neck and shoulders.
Heated basalt stones placed along the back. Deep, even warmth that releases tight muscles.
Slow, light pressure with scented oils. It works well after a long flight.
Focused on the neck, shoulders and scalp. A quiet room and an unhurried pace.
Deeper and faster. For runners, cyclists and the day after training.
Stretching and pressure work on a mat, fully clothed in loose kit.
Applied to the feet alone, though the effect is felt through the whole body.
Head, face and neck. A good addition if you arrive with a headache.
Firmer work on the hips and thighs, best taken as a course of sessions.

“Recommended to us by our hotel, the Golden Orange. Sauna, hamam, peeling, massage and the mask — everything was exactly as described. We came back the following week.”
“Easily the best hamam I have ever been to. The foam massage in particular was an incredible feeling. Hot stone was a first for me, and it was well worth it. By the time I got home that evening my whole body had let go, and I slept better than I had in a long time.”
“The staff were kind and professional even though we did not share a language. They understood exactly what we wanted.”
“The welcome was warm and the whole team was smiling. My daughter and I were both very happy.”

It is a traditional bathing method that has been part of this region for centuries. You warm up on the heated marble, an attendant exfoliates you with a coarse mitt, you are washed under a cloud of olive-oil foam, and you cool down in the relaxation lounge. One programme that both cleanses the skin and releases the muscles.
Each session is reserved for your group alone. Couples and families share a double room, and solo guests are attended by a member of staff of the same gender.
